Ted & Dave’s (Not Quite) Fall Newsletter
While our annuals in the garden are wilting and terms like “frost delay” and “leaf rule” re-enter our golfing lexicon we offer a simple piece of caution: Don’t panic. First of all because it appears that warmer temperatures are in store for us again in the next few weeks. But also because you took our advice from the last newsletter and got out and played as much as possible in July and August, right? We hope you did and we can say that we tried to do our part. Members of our staff managed to get out to Kananaskis Country GC, Calgary G+CC, and even played a round with TDCG co-founder Ted Webster in Victoria. Not to be outdone on the celebrity front, Kael played 18 with Alice Cooper at Canyon Meadows G+CC the week before the Shaw Charity Classic (thanks again, Callaway!).
No golfer looks forward to the fall, but after the mid-summer lull we have to admit it’s getting exciting around here again with new products. We have now started carrying putters from Cure, wedges from Cleveland, and we will soon be offering Srixon’s entire lineup. We’ve also got new metalwoods from Titleist, TaylorMade’s GAPRs, and irons, wedges, and junior sets from PING. Finally, with an eye toward the offseason, we have introduced Wellputt’s suite of training aids. Read on to learn more!
PING Fitter of the Year
While PING announced its list of Fitters of the Year for 2017 earlier this year, our award just arrived at the shop this week and we are honoured to have received the distinction again. We really appreciate being recognized like this but we are very aware that it is only with the support of our amazing customers that we are able to do so.
